Happy New Year everyone! Our trip to El Salvador is coming up fast.
The Handsworth Community has really been coming together and supporting the group in our fundraising efforts. In mid December, student council hosted Santa’s Breakfast and donated all the proceeds to our trip. We are very grateful for their support.
The juniors are also doing a great job of supporting us. Mme Rioux’ 79 grade 8 students all bought a brick to support our trip. Thanks a lot grade 8’s! Our selling bricks campaign has been really successful. We are very grateful to all the families who have donated!
We have also been working hard on other fundraising– we had 2 bake sales in December and in early January we did a bottle drive that was incredibly successful. We raised over $1300.00!!! We are planning on having 2 more bake sales and continuing with our own personal giving pages as another way to raise money.
